BIOGRAPHY - MARK WOLSCHON
Mark Wolschon is Quality Control Manager at Environmental Protection, Inc. In this position he is responsible for all in plant Quality Control (QC) and also field construction Quality Control (CQC). He is responsible for the statistical process control functions on the quality of all incoming material and factory seam fabrication. He is responsible for developing the Wolschon Testing methods used at EPI. Mark serves as the EPI representative to ASTM and has been a Task Group Leader for many newly developed standards for PVC geomembranes.
Since 1990 he has been involved with EPI's field installation crews installing geomembranes for landfills, waste water lagoons, landfill caps, and decorative ponds.
Mark has been involved with Quality Control programs since 1978, when he was responsible for set up of the Quality Control Lab for Chandler 10 Company, fabricators of fuel, brake, and pollution control piping for the automotive industry. During this time he was involved with the changeover from basic inspection techniques to the utilization of Statistical Process Control (SPC) in the automotive industries.
Mark attended Macomb County Community College studying Quality Control techniques, statistical process control, and dimensional meteorology. He also completed QC training with Chrysler Corp. and General Motors, as well as Perry Johnson Seminars, and Business and Industries SPCI. From 1986 to 1989 he owned and operated his own sales company dealing with direct sales to the public.
Mark is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician.
Since 1982 he has been a volunteer Fireman, is a state certified Fireman and is active in the Cold Springs - Excelsior Township Volunteer Fire Department.
